Launched in June 2022, MUSA is the new luxury brand conceived to deliver an exclusive, refined, and authentic experience on the enchanting shores of Lake Como. This innovative hospitality concept stands out for its uniquely curated offering: a five-star luxury boutique hotel in a serene yet strategic location; a fine dining restaurant where Italian culinary traditions blend with global influences; a modern and sophisticated cocktail bar; and four private maisons for discreet, tailor-made stays.
The brand is built on strong and distinctive values: culinary excellence, a sophisticated yet warm sense of hospitality, integrity, respect, and a deep-rooted service ethic. A young and international team brings these values to life with a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental respect.
The interior design, curated by Claudia Kempen Concept, reflects a vision of fluidity—an essential element in every CKC project. Natural materials and color palettes were meticulously selected for both the hotel and the villas, resulting in an exquisite blend of textiles, grey marble, oak wood flooring, custom furniture, and refined bronze fixtures and accessories.
MUSA is led by Robert Moretti and Matteo Corridori, two acclaimed executive chefs born and raised on Lake Como, under the guidance of the Gray family, entrepreneurs in the tourism industry for over 37 years. After nearly a decade abroad, Moretti and Corridori brought home their passion and experience, gained in some of the world’s most prestigious kitchens—including the three-Michelin-starred Hélène Darroze at The Connaught and the Bulgari Hotel in Dubai, where Corridori worked alongside Niko Romito.
The hotel, with its clean and contemporary aesthetic, features 12 rooms designed to offer each guest a tailor-made retreat, distinguished by the exceptional quality of its services. Facilities include a swimming pool, wellness and massage area, solarium, fitness room, lounge area, and private parking.
On the ground floor of MUSA Hotel Lago di Como, guests will find ROTEO, an elegant restaurant with a seating capacity of 45. Minimalist in design, the space is home to a young and contemporary cuisine, led by Moretti and Corridori. The goal is to move and inspire through simplicity and elegance. Local products are elevated through innovative techniques drawn from the chefs’ international and local experiences.
The culinary style is clean, refined, and seasonal—with freshness and quality at its core. At the heart of ROTEO lies the deep friendship between Robert and Matteo, a bond rooted in shared passion for hospitality, travel, and the endless curiosity that drives them to keep learning. The name ROTEO, while a creative blend of their identities, also hints at the concept of movement—a notion that has been essential in their personal and professional journeys.
Just outside, on the hotel’s veranda, lies the Gaia Bar: a vibrant, contemporary space where modern mixology meets impeccable service. Under the leadership of F&B Manager Corrado and Assistant Bar Manager Luca, Gaia Bar delivers a versatile and youthful atmosphere. Here, guests can enjoy excellent food and crafted cocktails at any time of day—each creation reflecting a perfect balance between innovation and deep respect for tradition.
